Senior Health & Safety Expert

Main responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Bulgarian and international Health & Safety legislation and company standards;
- Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and site-specific HSE plans;
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure regular reviews;
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety training sessions;
- Monitor construction activities and ensure safe execution of high-risk works;
- Perform regular site inspections and safety audits;
- Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions;
- Coordinate HSE activities with subcontractors and external stakeholders;
- Monitor the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities;
- Prepare HSE reports, statistics and KPI dashboards;
- Promote continuous improvement and strengthen the company’s safety culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree. Qualification as a Health & Safety professional in accordance with Bulgarian legislation. (Engineering or a related technical field is an advantage);
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Health & Safety, preferably in construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects;
- Good knowledge of Bulgarian Health & Safety legislation;
- Very good command of English (written and spoken). German language is an advantage;
- Very good computer skills (MS Office);
- Experience in renewable energy or large construction projects;
- Experience working with international clients and subcontractors;
- Strong communication and influencing skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
- Analytical mindset and proactive approach to problem solving;
- Passion for building a positive safety culture.
